Our company, founded in 2005, was created out of a
passion for sea kayaking and a love of nature.
Our goal is to to help you discover new
challenges for yourself and guide you to new explorations.

FAQ
What are your group sizes?
Our tours will run with up to a maximum of eight people. We would like to provide you with manageable group sizes to ensure you have a safe, quality experience with us. We can accommodate special group bookings.
How can you help me plan my trip?
We have created a page on our web site with suggestions for accommodations at the beginning and end of your tour with us. You have the option to include accommodations for the night before and after your tour at an extra cost. We can recommend transportation options to help you get to the tour of your choice . Once you book a tour with us we will give you detailed maps and specific equipment checklists to help you plan your trip.
Who do you take on your tours?
Our groups are generally a mix of single
people, couples or groups traveling together. We can arrange a special
family tour
and cater our program and itinerary for families with children.
What kind of accommodation can I expect on your tours?
We use three and four star hotel accommodations on our tours. On our sea kayaking tours you will stay in Eureka two person tents with two doors and two large vestibules. All accommodation prices are based on double occupancy. Please let us know if you have special requests regarding shared accommodations. You can upgrade to single occupancy at a revised price.
Will my personal information be kept private?
Any personal information you provide
to us will be strictly confidential. E-mail newsletter registration, contest
participation, membership information and all booking information is subject to
the Privacy Protection Act.
We will publish photos or testimonials on our web site with signed
permission only.
What health requirements do I need to meet?
Each person joining our tours is required to fill out a medical questionnaire. This form gives us crucial information to ensure the safety of each of our clients. A tetanus shot in the past two years will be required. Medication will need to be stored in waterproof containers. If you have anaphylactic reactions to allergens you will need to bring an epipen. Our tours are based on physical exertion and being physically capable to perform the activities is important.
Can you accommodate special meal requirements?
If you have special meal requirements or preferences please contact us and we will try our best to provide for your individual needs.
How safe are your trips?
Spirit Quest Journeys has developed a thorough Safety Policy and
Procedures manual that all of our guides will be trained to use. We have
clear emergency procedures that must be followed. Each of our guides
must be a certified sea kayaking or mountaineering guide. They must also
have current wilderness first aid training with CPR as well as a license to
operate a marine radio. On each trip guides will carry flares, communication
equipment, emergency food rations and an extensive first aid kit.
Before each journey we will have thorough instruction on safety precautions
and procedures to ensure our clients are fully aware of any safety issues
and how they can handle themselves safely in the wilderness. We ensure that
our gear is in top quality condition and meets all safety standards.
What do I need to bring on my trip?
We will provide very detailed equipment checklists for each of our adventure tours once you register with us. This equipment is specific to the activity you have chosen to participate in. It will ensure that you have an optimal experience on your tour.
How do I pay for my tour?
You can pay for your tour using travelers
cheques, money order, certified cheque, bank draft or by personal cheque.
Your space on the tour will be guaranteed when we receive a deposit of fifty
percent of the total cost of the tour. The balance of the tour costs
must be paid for in full thirty days in
advance of the departure date of the tour.
What are your cancellation policies?
All trip cancellations must be received in writing thirty days before the
date of departure to receive a full refund.
Spirit Quest Journeys reserves the right to cancel a tour for any reason. If
the trip is cancelled a full refund will be returned to the customer.
